Description
Amleth and Wolfe go way back. Like, a century ago back.
Whitby, England, 1890. Ever eager to discover the secrets of the undead, Wolfe seeks to capture and study the world's last remaining vampire, but is hampered in his efforts by famous monster hunter Mina Harker, who has a policy of kill first, ask questions later. He joins her entourage under the guise of Dutch professor Abraham Van Helsing, purporting to help her task while actually undermining her and furthering his own ends at every turn. But Amleth, known to the Transylvanian villagers as Dracula, is very skilled at the art of cowardice, and has no qualms about running away and hiding - a little too well for the Harker and Helsing ensemble. Eventually it becomes clear that Mina will not rest until she has Dracula staked, and reluctantly Helsing allows Dracula to escape in order to preserve science, vowing to find him again and study him in the immortal future.
And then the tale gets picked up by a slightly barmy Irish secretary who takes it all a little too seriously. A few misunderstandings, a lot of sensationalism, and several tweaks to fit Victorian sensibilities later, and a legend is born.
Van Helsing/Wolfe Macfarlane is a SDF Abadon. Serendipity and quite a lot of violence brought the vampire back into his laboratory.
Count Dracula/Amleth Eronisle is a CP Delf Luwen hybrid. He allows himself to be studied in return for witch's blood.

This less than friendly intriguing duo has motivated me to read Bram Stoker's Dracula! Not quite as interesting as your version, but engaging none the less.
